There are two basic types of people in this world, people cat and dog people. Although there are some individuals who tend to cross the line in this sense, everyone has a favorite. For those of us who love our cats, a number of different things we can do to make sure they are happy and healthy in their environments. This includes not only the food they eat (which is very important) but also includes making sure that they are mentally disturbed from time to time.

One thing should always be taken into account when dealing with a cat is the facts that, in essence, are one of the animals outdoors. Even if they are comfortable indoors, it is still necessary to provide an environment for them that will excite their senses and give them fresh territory to explore. All cats enjoy exploring this way, especially when the lights are out and no one else around. By mixing things up a bit and give them new territory from time to time, you are really doing a great kindness of your feline. This will help keep them happy and interested in the area in which they live. 

Another thing I recommend, though not for all cat owners out there is to provide another feline companion for your pet. Some cats love to have another cat in the area and quickly adapt to the new society we are keeping. Be careful, however, in choosing the right sex kitten, as not all cats will get along with others, especially when the same sex. If you choose wisely, and make sure your cat fits well, you will be surprised with what he can to bring your family.
